Murray Gallant makes painted carvings of the human condition. From ladies in polka dotted dresses to naked man playing the fiddle he sees what he thinks and then he carves it. He has been active from the early 1980’s and was showing at the Lunenburg Folk Art Festival when it first began. Murray Gallant is widely collected – from The Beaverbrooke Gallery – to private collections across North America.
