William Hazzard

William Hazzard. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Regina, Saskatchewan. Active 1970’s –  1980’s.

William Hazzard made  painted carvings of birds. Hazzard was largely self-taught. His carvings are lifelike  and true to colour. He signed his work. He was cited in The Canadian Collector. 1985 and in the Canadian Museum of Civilization. William Hazzard also made painted relief carvings.

Joe Hayter

Joe Hayter. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Trinity, Newfoundland. Active 1980’s.

Joe Hayter sculpted naive yard art and whirligigs. He was cited in Grattan. 1983.

Donald Hay

Donald Hay. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Belleville, Ontario. Active 1970’s – .

Donald Hay carves birds. He is known as a skilled carver. He colours and signs his works. he was cited in The UpperCanadian in 1978.

Ida Harvey

Born: 1895  |  Died: 1960

Adela Harvey. Fabric artist. Painter. Rug Hooker. Charlevoix County, Quebec. Active mid 20th century.

Adela Harvey was a painter of naive Charlevoix scenes and landscapes. She worked with Georges-Edouard Tremblay in his studio at Pointe-au-Pic. She painted and hooked her paintings as well as those of M. Tremblay. (See the article on Georges-Edouard Tremblay.

Otis Hatt

Otis Hatt. Sculptor. Decor carver. Chester Basin, Nova Scotia. Active early 20th century.

Otis Hatt was a decoy carver. He also is known for making miniature ornamental Whistler decoys.
