Stephen Outhouse makes carvings of birds and fish – every species that can be found in Maritime waters and above all very fine painted relief carvings of maritime scenes.

Hubert Osmond

 

Hubert Osmond. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Cape-Ray, Newfoundland. Active late 20th century.

Hubert Osmond was know for making sculptures in his yard with ‘as found’ materials as well as for making dory models.

Patrick Oconnor

Patrick Oconnor. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Bob’s Lake, Ontario. Active mid 20th century.

Patrick Oconnor was known for his naive wood carvings. He made painted carvings of animals, birds, people (busts) as well as whirligigs.

Jesse Obed

Jesse Clayton Obed. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Blanche, N. S. Active early 20th century.

Jesse Obed was a lighthouse keeper on Half-Moons Island, Shelburne, Nova Scotia. He was known for his carvings of hunting decoys.

Gerarde Guillemette is known for his carvings of animals and his caricatures of people in situations. He carves in Basswood and paints his work.
