Pierre Bougie

Pierre Bougie. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Anse-aux-Griffons, Quebec. Active 1910 – .

Pierre Bougie makes model boats using ‘as found materials’ and driftwood that he finds along the shore at Anse-aux-Griffons, a tiny village  on the Gaspe shore. His work will be shown in the summer of 2019 at a Folk Art Sculpture exhibition at the Musee de la Civilisation in Quebec City.

Craig Naugler

Born: 1973

Craig Naugler. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Active 1990’s – .

Craig Naugler, the son of artist Bradford Naugler, is an artist in his own right. While he is not creating right now due to a back injury, Craig Naugler has occupied a corner of Bradford Naugler’s studio and Gallery for some years.

Ransford Naugler

Born: 1953

Ransford Naugler. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Painter. Camperdown, Nova Scotia. Active 1980’s – .

Ransford Naugler was the first of the three brothers to begin sculpting. He, like Leo and Bradford, is widely collected and has shown at the Lunenburg Festival for many years.

Calvin Woodworth. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Nova Scotia. Active Early 21st century – .

Calvin Woodworth makes character carvings of people as well as animals and birds. His work is naive and very distinctive. He has become known for his relief carvings of Nova Scotia and the sea around it. He turned to his art after an accident that left him unable to work.

Reed Timmons

Reed Timmons makes very colorful impressions of animals, birds, fish and anything in the world around him. He is a lobster fisherman and finds his inspiration all around him.
