Clement Beliveau, a barber in Beliveau Cove, began carving in the 1960’s. He carved birds and made applied relief scenes with birds in flight on painted backgrounds. His work was always painted and signed; sometimes in script or with a stamp. Mr. Beliveau also carved small animals and fish.
