Patrick Lavallee uses ‘as found’ materials when possible to make carvings of birds, roosters and also carvings of traditional Quebec themes such as the ‘Chasse-galerie’ and other folk tales as well as modern Quebec social themes and just pure whimsy. His work is brilliantly coloured and detailed. . His work is found in several museums and he shows in the annual Saint-Ulric Festival of Folk Art Sculpture. He always signs his work.
