Clarence Bouffard. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Petite Matane, Quebec. Active late 20th century – .
Clarence Bouffard has filled his yard – and a fair bit of the village of Petite Matane – with his sculptures of animals, both imaginary and real; and often a mix of the two. His carvings are over sized and made of ‘as found’ materials – tree parts from the forest and driftwood from the sea. From giant people to Minotaurs his imagination provides and everything in colour.**
