Rene Bergeron. Sculptor. Wood carver. Baie-Comeau, Quebec. Active late 20th century.
Rene Bergeron, originally from the Saguenay region, uses ‘as found material (pieces and shapes of wood from the forest) to make his carvings. Most often birds of the region that he assembles and finishes. His work is not often found: ‘he gives more than he sells’ is a quote. His work is charming and evocative.
