Barry Colpitts is from East Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia.

Barry Colpitts lives and works in East Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia. He has been sculpting for nearly 25 years. He works with Black Spruce most of which he harvests and dries himself. He carves birds, animals and people. All in various sizes, from small to…well, big. Chairs have become of great interest to him more recently. They are full sized chairs that he makes himself and fills with carved images of every kind; from eyes that see everything  to birds that dance around the sitter. His impressions are full of colour and movement and energy. They are unforgettable.

Featured Works of Hosanna Dupuis

First published in Les Patenteux du Quebec; Hosanna Dupuis (b. 1898 – Maskinonge, Quebec) was acclaimed internationally for his work, one of which inspired the name of the Museum of Civilization’s 1997 exhibition “Les Paradis du Monde”. His work is rarely seen outside of museum collections and little has ever been available for sale.

Turtle – Shown here is a very rare carved and painted Turtle by M. Dupuis. Elegant and charming, it is carved of hard and soft woods (legs and body) and has metal tacks for eyes. It dates from the 1950’s and measures about: 4″H x 14″L x 7″H – $1200.00

Featured Works of Georges Edouard Tremblay

Ornamental Hooked Rug – Signed GET in the lower right. This rug was hooked by George E. Tremblay (Baie-St-Paul, Quebec. (1902-1987) and is a sculpted one. The scene is a cabin in winter. It measures about 20 by 26 inches inside the frame and about 24 by 30 inches overall. It is mounted in an Elm Wood frame made by Thibault in St Therese, Quebec. (Circa 1950.) – SOLD
