Featured Works of Hosanna Dupuis

First published in Les Patenteux du Quebec; Hosanna Dupuis (b. 1898 – Maskinonge, Quebec) was acclaimed internationally for his work, one of which inspired the name of the Museum of Civilization’s 1997 exhibition “Les Paradis du Monde”. His work is rarely seen outside of museum collections and little has ever been available for sale.

Turtle – Shown here is a very rare carved and painted Turtle by M. Dupuis. Elegant and charming, it is carved of hard and soft woods (legs and body) and has metal tacks for eyes. It dates from the 1950’s and measures about: 4″H x 14″L x 7″H – $1200.00
