Liane Abrieu

Born: Active 1980's.

Liane Abrieu. Painter. Montreal, Quebec. Active 1980’s.

Liane Abrieu is an outsider artist known for her naive abstract/metaphysical paintings.  She is cited in Boulizon.*

Wendy Doyon

Born: 1948

Wendy Doyon. Sculptor. Saint-Philibert, Beauce, Quebec. Active late 20th century – .

Originally from British Columbia; Wendy Doyon settled in the Beauce in 1972. She makes sculptures of animals in papier mache and in her later works they have glass eyes.  They are always coloured and signed ‘Doyon’.

Gino Desrosiers

Born: 1967

Gino Desrosiers. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Port Cartier, Quebec. Active 1990’s – .

Gino Desrosiers began carving in the 1990’s. He makes sculptures of ‘as found’ and recycled materials; from iron to driftwood and sawdust. He colours his work and signs and  dates them. His work is becoming known and recognized by collectors.

Marcel Desharnais

Born: 1924

Marcel Desharnais. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Val D’Or, Quebec. Active late 20th century.

Marcel Desharnais carved farm animals mostly. Usually but not always painted. He signed his work.
