Maurice Arsenault. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Saint-Celestin, Quebec. Active mid 20th century.

Maurice Arsenault was a naive sculptor. He made carvings of People, animals and relief carvings. He was mentioned in the Upper Canadian magazine in 1986 and 1988.

Arnold, (First name unknown.) Painter. Quebec. Active mid 20th century

Mr or Mrs Arnold was a naive artist who made landscape paintings in oil. There is a painting of building on fire illustrated in McKendry’s Companion. Signed and dated.  (Colour plate McKendry 1983 pl.92)

Elizabeth Angrnatquak is a fabric artist and a maker of naive tapestries and wall hangings of people and animals.

Billy Andrews

Billy Andrews. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Bradford, Ontario. Active 1970’s- .

Billy Andrews worked as a hired hand on farms and made naive carvings of farm animals and birds. He paints his carvings and sometimes signs them in script. His carvings are in private collections and museums.
