Michel Mandron. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Model maker. Montreal, Laval, Quebec. Active late 20th century.

Michel Mandron was born in Paris and moved to Quebec (Laval) in the 1960’s. He is known for building a collection of scale model airplanes – beginning from the start of air-travel to the present day airliners. His models were built from scratch by hand and painted in every detail. The early canvas and wood bi-planes were built and painted in the same manner as were the original early 20th century planes were. He also made fantasy models from Literary classics.  His work is stunning and quite overwhelming. Michel Mandron’s attention to detail is as fine as his carving abilities.
