Leonard Burt. Painter. Bonne Bay, Newfoundland. Active 1974 – .

Leonard Burt was a naive artist. He painted scenes and landscapes of Newfoundland from his memory as a sailor on the coasts of Newfoundland. He painted large detailed panoramic views as big as 4 by 8 feet and smaller works on board and canvas. He painted in ‘as found’ oil paints. He usually signed his work. He has been collected by the Memorial University Art Gallery in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
