Louis Desmarais. Sculptor. Woodcarver. Saint-Francois-du-Lac, Quebec. Active mid-20th century.
His house was his oeuvre. Completely decorated with ‘tramp art’ style shapes and carvings. It was a sight to see. He worked with ‘as found’ materials and objects. Louis Desmarais was first mentioned in Les Patenteux du Quebec in the 1970’s.
