Alma Baldwin. Sculptor. Big Bay Point, Ontario. Active mid 20th century.
Alma Baldwin made a long series of caricature sculptures of people. Her sculptures were of mixed media; she used wire frames that she shaped, padded and dressed as people, using fabric that she gathered as well as cosmetics and hair. The people sculptures were those around her that she observed in her daily life. She them her ‘people’ in every size; from miniature to life size.
