Agathe Boucher-Dubreuil using a wide range of materials made dolls performing every kind of task and trade in Quebec. Harvesting, bread-making, sawing wood – all were her subject matter. She made and dressed them. Using old photographs and archives she made Tramps, The ‘Grande Dame as well as characters from history. She mounted her dolls on a wooden base and usually signed her work: Agathe Dubreuil.
